71% of Americans Now Use Online Video

A survey from the Pew Research Center has found that 71% of adult American’s watch online video in May 2011.

YouTube remains the most popular online video destination, receiving some 3 billion views a day, with 200 milliom views coming via mobile services.

The results, published in July, found that the increase in viewers was up 5% from the 66% of online adults who reported being video-sharing site users a year earlier and a 38-point increase from five years ago.
