Hyperlocal publisher NearSay has announced a new white-label version of their local marketing platform LocalVox. The advertorial publishing tool is a widget used alongside larger hyperlocals and niche verticals with existing sales and marketing teams. The program allows publishers to syndicate their advertorial content from their clients across the LocalVox publishing network.
NearSay CEO David Pachter told StreetFightMag:
“We didn’t build this thinking ‘white label’; we built it to use it,” while he went on to add, “The platform existed, so it was a natural extension of what we were doing to make it available to larger publishers who already had sales and customer service teams.”
Describing his product Pachter calls it Yellow Pages 3.0, noting:
“Those first generation directories are great if I want to pull up a map or phone number for a particular restaurant, but it doesn’t help me [as a merchant] get found.”
LocalVox is now going through a round of funding which they will use to grow their product line to improve upon listings management, social media reputation tracking and storefront enablement for local businesses.
