The announcement comes just three months after AOL HD launched for Boxee, DivX TV, Roku and Yahoo! Connected TV system.

AOL has been attempting to deliver their content to a larger market and their new partnerships now deliver their HD quality content to 30% of US household that feature a “connected TV.”

Speaking about their expansion onto new products Robert Delacruz, General Manager for AOL HD revealed:

“Consumers are increasingly using the living room as an extension of their online viewing behavior and the trajectory of growth in the connected TV space is what led us to expand AOL HD on the biggest and most engaged platforms.” Robert added, “We know consumers want high-quality free content delivered to their televisions, and meeting that demand fits within AOL HD’s strike zone.”

Under the platform users are able to watch original high-definition content that is updated daily from such sources as the AOL Huffington Post Media Group which runs TechCrunch, Moviefone, Huffington Post Celebrity and various other web based properties.
