Windows Server 2019 License Agreement

a) Physical cores on a server. You can obtain a license based on all the physical cores of the server. If you select this option, the number of licenses required is equal to the number of physical cores on the server that require at least four licenses per processor. Data Center: For licensed servers that have been assigned sufficiently authorized data center licenses (excluding stacked licenses), the customer receives an additional core license for each physical core with more than eight per physical processor and 16 per licensed server. We understand that many other Microsoft Server products (Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, Skype for Business Server, System Center Server, BizTalk Server, Remote Desktop Services – see the full list here) are eligible for license mobility (through the purchase of Software Assurance). Therefore, the license for these products could be moved to VMware Cloud on AWS under the new terms. The following conditions must be met: [3] LICENSER: Specify the total number of USER CALs that can directly or indirectly access instances of the licensed server software under this Agreement. (sometimes referred to as “multiplexing” or “pooling”) does not reduce the number of licenses of any kind you need. 2.1 Licensing a Server.

Before you run instances of the server software on a server, you must determine the number of software licenses required and assign those licenses to that server as described below. (b) You may store instances of the Server Software and additional software on any of your servers or storage media. 11. SCOPE OF LICENSE. The software is licensed, not sold. Unless other rights are granted to you under applicable law, Microsoft reserves all other rights not expressly granted under this Agreement, whether by implication, estoity, or otherwise. In doing so, you must comply with all technical limitations of the software that allow you to use it only in certain ways. You should not be held responsible: You are responsible for obtaining the required licenses for eligible Microsoft applications running on VMware Cloud on AWS and for meeting all applicable Microsoft licensing requirements. VMware cannot speak for Microsoft or make any statement on behalf of Microsoft. We understand that a SQL Server license is licensed on or after 1.
