Aeu Agreement 2020

2020 is the year in which we will begin negotiations for a new agreement establishing your remuneration and terms. In recent discussions, the ELAA stated that the proposed agreement “focuses on quality outcomes for the early childhood sector, improving the salaries and conditions of teachers and educators and giving employers greater capacity to manage their workforce.” The VECTEA agreement is an important enterprise agreement that governs the sector sector of the Victorian community. The union says the ministry`s instructions are aimed at implementing a new performance and development process, in violation of clause 13, paragraph 3, of the agreement. The ACT Public Sector Education and Training Directorate (Teaching Staff) Enterprise Agreement is the agreement under which teachers and school psychologists work. It is a formal, legally enforceable agreement that we regularly enter into with the ACT government and defines wages, allowances, leave, workload and much more. ELAA believes that the proposed VECTEA offers a balanced approach for teachers, educators and early childhood providers, according to a statement from the association, which states that the proposed agreement is now reached by the government with regard to adequate funding. The current agreement for school assistants came into force on April 3, 2019. The highlights of the 2016 negotiations the last time the agreement was reached, as found by the AEU, included an annual salary increase of 3 per cent, 15 days off for co-educators and pay parity with teachers at the higher level of early childhood teachers (representing an additional 13 per cent) and pay parity with teachers at the lower level of early childhood teachers (equivalent to an additional 8 per cent). The ability of employers to address underperformance issues has been successfully negotiated by the ELAA, which ensures that employers can extend the trial period for workers to six months under the proposed agreement, which also allows the employer to formally manage benefit issues. Our school assistants work as part of the ACT Public Sector Administrative and Related Classifications Enterprise Agreement.

It is a formal, legally enforceable agreement that we regularly enter into with the ACT government and defines wages, allowances, leave, workload and much more. The Federal Court of Justice will hear the AEU`s assertion next month that the Victorian government has illegitimately changed the rules on the increase in the salaries of state employees, after the parties agreed this morning to have the case set for a speedy process. An increasing number of ESP/Support Staff Reps are being selected in AEU positions, and ESP Reps specific training has begun, and more will come across the country. David Worland, CEO of ELAA, paid tribute and thanked the ELAA Industrial Relations Reference Group, which provided support and advice to ELAA negotiators throughout the process. The link to online membership or the download of a membership form is here: aeutas.org.au/join/ Following the government`s response, ELAA and AEU will meet to begin finalizing the terms of the next VECTEA, which will reflect what was agreed by the negotiation and what the government has funded accordingly. The formal approval process for the next VECTEA will then be launched through the Fair Work Commission.

In what the union says, the unilateral imposition of a quota, Hall stated that “in a typical school, the coalition government expects that between 60 percent and 80 percent of teachers” would get a successful performance evaluation and thus progression. Minister Hall on Tuesday released a new education policy that does not respect the government`s intention to move to a new performance evaluation system in the near future.
